Việt Nam được xếp vào trong cụm 10 quốc gia nguy hiểm và dối trá.
Sau vụ 39 người Việt Nam chết tại Anh thì:
Từ ngày 18/11/2019 khi là công dân trong số quốc gia sau đây: Việt Nam, Afghanistan, Algeria, Syria, Iran, Irac, Liên bang Nga, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bắc Triều Tiên.
Xin Visa Schengen tại bất cứ ở Lãnh Sự Quán nước nào thì hồ sơ sẽ được đưa đi thẩm định qua tất cả 27 nước trong khối Schengen.
Có nghĩa là nếu tới LSQ Pháp làm thủ tục xin cấp Visa thì ngoài hồ sơ đầy đủ ra, sẽ phải chờ sự đồng ý của tất cả 26 nước còn lại, LSQ Pháp sẽ phát Công hàm điện tử đến hết tất cả các nước trong khối Schengen, nếu tất cả đồng ý thì sẽ có Visa, ngược lại họ từ chối không cần đưa ra lời giải thích.
Thời gian xét duyệt chung sẽ kéo dài từ 8-10 ngày.
Thời gian ra Visa (nếu được cấp) là 14 ngày- kể từ ngày nộp hồ sơ.
Các Lãnh sự quán Nhật & Đại Hàn cũng có luật mới từ ngày 15/11/2019 yêu cầu người Việt Nam xin Visa phải có Sổ Tiết Kiệm bản gốc, Sổ Hồng, Sổ Đỏ bản gốc mới giải quyết.

When citizens of certain countries apply for a visitor’s visa (Schengen visa), the application must be approved by all the Schengen countries. This takes at least eight days.
If you are a citizen of one of the countries in the list below, your application must be submitted for such an approval (consultation). This applies no matter which country you are currently living in.
When the embassy, consulate or UDI has considered your application, we will send it to the other Schengen countries. We cannot complete the processing of your application until all these countries have approved it. This will take at least eight days.
This is a routine matter for all citizens of the countries on this list, and does not mean that there is anything wrong with your application.
If you are a citizen of one of these countries, you should apply in plenty of time. It will not be possible to have your application processed in less than eight days.
If you are visiting a family member who is life-threateningly ill or attending the funeral of a close family member, and cannot wait eight days, the UDI may in some cases give you a visa which is only valid in Norway, and not in the other Schengen countries. You must have a medical certificate which shows that the person you are visiting is life-threateningly ill.
